Sales of used crossovers in Russia increased by 22%


Sales of used cars in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) in Russia increased by 22%. If 98.3 thousand such cars were sold in the country in January 2024, then a year later the figure rose to 120.1 thousand units, according to Autostat Info on March 3.
The Lada 4x4 (Niva) became the best-selling SUV on the secondary market, with sales increasing by 19% to 8,000 units. Chevrolet Niva came in second place (+7.6%; 4.6 thousand). The number of re-registrations for the Toyota RAV4 crossover increased by 22% (3.5 thousand units), which allowed the model to take third place.
This was followed by Toyota Land Cruiser (+19%), Kia Sportage (+14%), Nissan X-Trail (+19%) and Renault Duster (+9%). The top 10 was rounded out by Volkswagen Tiguan (+15%), Nissan Qashqai (-2%) and Mitsubishi Outlander (+16%).
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the new mid-size the Jetour X70 crossover has started arriving in car dealerships, the model has already appeared at some dealers in Moscow. X70's debut in Russia took place in mid-December last year. This is an earlier and more affordable version of the X70 Plus SUV, which is offered in Russia from 2023.
