Moskalkova reported that 33 residents of the Kursk region had returned to Russia from Ukraine.

On March 3, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Tatyana Moskalkova, announced the return of 33 residents of the Kursk region from Ukraine to Russia.

"33 residents of the Kursk region, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the mediation of the Republic of Belarus, were evacuated to Russia from Ukraine. They are in their native land," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Moskalkova added that among the 33 residents there are four children suffering from serious injuries and illnesses. 10 ambulances were organized to transport them.

In addition, the Commissioner for Human Rights said that specialists contact the relatives of the evacuees on a daily basis and help them with paperwork. Negotiations with the Ukrainian side on humanitarian aid are also ongoing.

According to Alexander Khinshtein, Governor of the Kursk region, in his Telegram channel, residents of the region who have returned from Ukraine to Russia will be helped to receive all support measures, as well as arrange for all documents to be processed quickly.

"We will also help with obtaining all support measures, including a monthly payment of 65 thousand rubles, established by the decision of our President [of Russia Vladimir Putin]. Students will be given the opportunity to resume their studies in any convenient format: we will additionally assign teachers to them in order to catch up," the message says.

On September 24, 2024, the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, announced that the Russian Federation has a named list of residents of the Kursk region, who are being held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the list has been handed over to law enforcement agencies. The ambassador added that the document was compiled based on reports from relatives of missing residents of the region.
