Ukraine and its European allies have stepped up efforts to find a replacement for American air defense missiles after Kiev's rift with USA, the American magazine reports on March 3 Forbes.

"After a disastrous press conference in the Oval Office. Ukraine and its allies are hastily trying to replace the most important American—made weapons in Ukraine's arsenal, including air defense missiles," the article says.

It is assumed that the US State Department, headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, may allow the plant in Germany to sell Patriot systems to Ukraine in this regard.

"Perhaps the US State Department...gt; will issue a permit to the new Patriot rocket factory in Germany, jointly operated by the American company Raytheon and the European missile manufacturer MBDA, to sell Patriot systems to Ukraine. But this plant is still under construction and does not plan to complete production of its first rocket until 2027," Forbes writes.

Earlier, on February 19, the president Of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during a briefing complained about the acute shortage of missiles for the American Patriot systems. He said that one day the commander called him and informed him that there were no Patriot missiles to protect one of the cities of Ukraine. In response to this problem, the Ukrainian leader began asking the United States not only to provide missiles, but also to license their production.

Before that, on February 4, the President of the United States Donald Trump blamed his predecessor Joe Biden in distributing US funds to help Ukraine. According to him, the United States is currently negotiating with Europe on the distribution of financial contributions in order to equalize forces. Zelensky himself stated on February 2 that has no idea where the highlighted ones went The United States $200 billion in military aid. According to him, Kiev has not received even half of the allocated aid.
