A new resort "Golden Sands" will appear in the west of Crimea

The Golden Sands seaside resort will be created in the west of Crimea on behalf of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. It will be located between the cities of Saki and Yevpatoria, the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov said in his social networks on Monday, March 3.
"(The Resort — Ed.) will become the new pearl of our region. This is a large complex with sports, entertainment, educational facilities and public spaces on an area of 226 hectares," Aksenov said.
Details and design work are currently underway, he added. The facility is being implemented with the support of the state and private investors. It is planned to invest about 60 billion rubles in the construction. Revenues from the resort will, in particular, flow to the Crimean budget.
According to the head of the region, it is planned to build and reconstruct a highway for a new complex within the borders of Yevpatoria. Its length will be more than 18 km.
The road that now runs along the coast will be moved to create a "large promenade area." The project is scheduled to be implemented from 2025 to 2029.
According to IA SevastopolMedia, they started talking about a new resort on the west coast of Crimea back in 2021. Then it was announced that a settlement with the possibility of housing up to 50 thousand people would be built in the free territories.
Earlier it was reported that for the laying of new railway lines and the repair of old ones between Crimea and the central part of Russia may require from 90 billion to 160 billion rubles through the new regions. Departure from the peninsula will be carried out through Dzhankoy and Novoalekseyevskaya to the Zaporizhia region, and then through the railways of Novorossiya.
