The purpose of the new industrial media "Documentary cinema" launched in the Russian Federation DOC.ru It is an association of the most significant events in documentary cinematography and the film industry. As its editor-in-chief Ilona Egiazarova told Izvestia on March 3, the interactive platform will provide an opportunity for young film and television documentaries to express themselves and promote documentary films.

The project was created with the participation of NMG DOK, a cluster of the National Media Group for the production of documentary content for TV, online services and platforms. At the site, you will be able to learn in detail about new authors working in the genre of documentaries, ideas, schools and thematic festivals. Directors, producers, actors, cameramen, casting directors and other professionals have already had the opportunity to speak and exchange opinions there.

"We want to talk about the importance of each film workshop, documentary and non-documentary. We want to provide this platform for debate and discussion, to raise important issues — how to make documentaries today, where these optics are, what they should be. And finally, we want to give way to the young, because it is very difficult for them to show their content somewhere now," Egiazarova said.
