"In the first paragraph of subparagraph 9 of paragraph 2, after the words "retail sale of alcoholic beverages from 23 hours to 8 hours local time is not allowed," add the words ", as well as on a day off (Sunday)," Svintsov said.

In his message, he also noted that Sunday should be devoted to family, sports or art, as well as to prepare for the start of the working week.

In recent years, Russia has seen an increase in the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages. In a number of regions, this problem has already been solved by restricting the sale of alcoholic beverages, according to an explanatory note to the federal draft.
