Alikhanov announced the first flights of the import-substituted MC-21 in 2025.

The first flights of the fully import-substituted MC-21 are planned during the first half of this year. This was announced on March 3 by Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

"We plan to launch the first flights of fully import-substituted MC-21 aircraft with PD-14 engine and SJ-100 with PD—8 engine during the first half of the year, after which certification flight tests will begin," he said.He noted that 13 MC-21 aircraft are in production. According to him, nine airframes are already ready for installation of the system, and four are at the stage of assembly.

Earlier, on February 5, Alikhanov said that the first deliveries of Tu-214 aircraft are planned for 2025. In addition, Russia must fully replace all components for this aircraft model, as well as for Superjet and Il-76 aircraft.
