The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Abkhazia has approved the final results of the snap presidential elections. This was announced on March 3 by the CEC press service.

"At its meeting on March 3, 2025, the CEC of the Republic of Abkhazia approved the final results of the presidential election of the Republic of Abkhazia," the CEC press service reported.

The Central Election Commission of Abkhazia recognized Gunba as the winner of the early presidential elections following the results of the second round.

According to the CEC, 70% of the citizens of Abkhazia voted in the second round. Of the total votes cast, excluding spoiled ballots and "against all" votes, Gunba scored 56.85%, his rival Adgur Ardzinba — 43.15%.
