- Prospects of business cooperation between Russia and Europe discussed in Moscow

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Tadzio Schilling, Director General of the Association of European Businesses (AEB), met in Moscow. The most important issues of European business cooperation with Russia and the conditions for participation in SPIEF 2025 were discussed.
SPIEF continues to be a key platform for concluding strategic alliances and contracts. European companies consider it important to participate in the Forum, which provides excellent opportunities for establishing business ties and confirming their commitment to the Russian market. "Having felt independent, Russian business is ready not only to enter foreign markets, but also to discuss its export potential and technological leadership, offering solutions that meet international standards," said Anton Kobyakov. He stressed that important platforms for discussing technological and economic trends remain events such as the Caucasus Investment Forum, the Eastern Economic Forum and other key events where meaningful discussions and exchange of experience take place. The issues of artificial intelligence and new materials continue to be high-priority topics for discussion.
Tadzio Schilling noted that in 2024, the interaction between AEB member companies and Russia increased by 16%, with a 31% increase in the Eastern Economic Forum and a 16% increase in the St. Petersburg International Law Forum. These data confirm the importance of Russian business platforms for European partners. "Russian forums continue to play a key role for those who are interested in economic dialogue with our country," he added. Tadzio Schilling also noted that all AEB partners continue to cooperate with the Roscongress Foundation, which confirms the stability and strength of business relations. "We are optimistic about the restoration of these ties," he stressed.
Special attention was paid to the Roscongress International business communication area, which will be presented in an updated format at future forums. This space will open up unique opportunities for European partners to present their projects, hold meetings and exchange experiences.
Anton Kobyakov noted that, despite the sanctions, European business continues to strive to maintain partnership relations with Russia.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 18 to 21, 2025.
