The weather forecaster urged Muscovites not to rush to replace winter tires.

Despite the fact that this year in Moscow March is forecast to be warmer than usual, and you should not change tires on your car until at least the end of the first spring month. This recommendation was made by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand.
The meteorologist explained that it is advisable to change tires from winter to summer tires when the average daily temperature starts to exceed +5 degrees. However, such conditions will not arise in Moscow soon. According to climate data, the average temperature steadily passes through 0 after March 20.
"March is forecast to be warmer than usual this year, but still not so warm that it becomes April. Therefore, you can feel calm until the end of March, and then listen to the forecasts of meteorologists," Vilfand quotes TASS March 3.
At the same time, as the expert noted, in the south of the European part of Russia, it is allowed to change tires for summer tires from the middle of March.
Earlier that day, Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia that by March 7 sleet is expected in Moscow and the region. Overall, temperatures will be above the climatic norm this week.
On February 27, auto expert Nikita Rodionov said that with the onset of spring motorists should go to a service station to conduct a full-fledged diagnosis of the chassis and engine, as well as to examine the condition of the body paintwork.p>
