Fire from landscape fires destroyed 18 buildings in Primorsky Krai


In Primorsky Krai, a fire caused by illegal burning of dry grass spread to settlements in the region and destroyed 18 non-residential buildings, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported on March 3 in a summary for the past week.
"Due to unauthorized burning of dry vegetation, the first fire outbreaks occurred in populated areas in Primorye: 18 non—residential buildings were destroyed by the flames," the department told the Telegram channel.
It is noted that a total of 28 forest fires on more than 1.4 thousand hectares have been eliminated in the region. Currently, the situation has already stabilized.
"In total, over 1,800 thermal points have been identified across the regions. A special fire protection regime has been established in the Krasnodar and Primorsky Territories and the Kaliningrad Region," the ministry added.
A day earlier it was reported that in Primorsky Krai 16 wildfires were recorded, eight of which are active. The press service of the regional Ministry of Civil Defense, Protection from Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters clarified that 129 people were involved in the elimination of fires. As reported by Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Podtergera, one of the fires in the Nakhodka city district surrounded a residential neighborhood.
