Moscow has set a historical record for the number of tourists

A record 26 million tourists visited Moscow in 2024, which is 3% more than in the most successful year for the global tourism industry in 2019. Travelers are attracted by the historical city center, parks and VDNKh, vibrant festivals and international business events, saidin his official Telegram channel, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

A third of the domestic tourist flow is provided by the subjects of the Central Federal District, another 17-18% are guests from St. Petersburg, Khanty—Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Krasnodar Territory, Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk Region. Individual tourists from China and the Middle East began to choose Moscow more often.

In 2024, on average, the capital's 3, 4, and 5-star hotels were occupied by 78%, and during large-scale events, the figure exceeded 90%.

The capital's budget will receive an additional 225 billion rubles from the tourism industry. The funds will help make the city even more convenient for residents and more attractive for guests.
