The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is currently not working on the abolition of duties imposed by Russia in response to sanctions from unfriendly countries. This was announced on March 3 by the press service of the department.

"The whole discussion around the abolition of duties on certain groups of goods is premature," the message quotes RIA Novosti.

Earlier in the day, Izvestia reported that the agency href="https://iz.ru/1847771/2025-03-03/minpromtorg-snimet-zagraditelnye-importnye-posliny-posle-otmeny-sankcii " target="_blank">work has begun on a set of rules that will apply to foreign companies if they return to the Russian Federation. It is indicated that so far officials are only discussing ideas for this document. At the same time, the ministry said that the issue of lifting duties on goods from unfriendly countries "will depend primarily on the lifting of sanctions against our exporters."
