Sobyanin invited Muscovites to vote for the architectural concept of the new circus

The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced the second vote at the site of the "Active Citizen" on the construction of a new Moscow circus. Residents will have to choose the architectural concept of the future building, the mayor wrote in his official Telegram channel and invited to participate in the discussion.

Well-known architectural firms with experience in the implementation of such buildings joined the development of the project. According to the results of the competition, professional experts – members of the jury selected several options. You can see them on on the voting page.

Following the first discussion, the city authorities decided to build the Moscow Circus building in a new convenient location in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain in the northwest of the capital. According to Sobyanin, this is a modern, actively developing area with good transport accessibility.

The mayor announced the first vote in mid-February. It was attended by more than 250 thousand people. The absolute majority (over 73%) unequivocally supported the need for a modern circus in Moscow. Previously, it was planned to modernize and completely rebuild the Great Moscow Circus on Vernadsky Avenue.
