Lukashenko congratulates Bulgarians on the Day of Liberation from the Ottoman yoke


"Belarus has always perceived Bulgaria as an important European partner with similar values and mentality. Minsk remains true to its beliefs even today," he is quoted as saying on on the president's website.
Lukashenko expressed confidence that Minsk and Sofia will be able to restore full-fledged relations, and the peoples of the two countries will continue to work together and friendship.
The President also wished the people of Bulgaria harmony and prosperity and invited them to visit Belarus.
Earlier, on February 27, Lukashenko announced a visit to Russia to meet with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in the first week of March. According to him, the leaders agreed on a personal conversation during the last telephone conversations.
