The comedy drama "Anora" by American director Sean Baker became the winner in several Oscar nominations. The award ceremony in Los Angeles is broadcast on the night of March 3 on TV channel href="https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Culture/live-updates/oscars-2025/?id=119305772&entryId=119363631"> ABC News.

The film won in the categories of "Best Original Screenplay", "Best Editing" and "Best Director". In his speech after receiving the statuette, Baker thanked the people whose stories inspired him to create the film.

"They shared their stories, they shared their life experiences with me. My deepest respect, thank you. I'm sharing this with you," the director emphasized.

ABC News also announced that the film "Conclave" won the award for the best adapted screenplay. On stage, her screenwriter Peter Strogan thanked the cast and crew for their work.

On the same day, it became known that American actor Kieran Culkin received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in the movie "Real Pain". Russian actor Yura Borisov was also a nominee in the category for his role in "Anor". This award was the first at the 97th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards.
