For the first time, a single three-year subsidy for the development of tourism infrastructure was distributed in Russia. It will amount to 27 billion rubles, that is, 9 billion per year, the Ministry of Economic Development told Izvestia.

The funds will be distributed among 84 regions, each of which will receive a certain amount for priority projects for this subject. The competitive selection for financing took place within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality". For the first time, such a subsidy was allocated to the regions in 2024, but it amounted to about 6 billion rubles and was allocated for a year.

"Since 2025, we have increased the annual volume of a single subsidy by almost one and a half times, which will allow the regions to implement larger—scale projects and increase the number of tourist trips — this is the main indicator we are focusing on," said Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development.

According to him, the leaders in terms of support this year were the Krasnodar Territory, the Moscow, Sverdlovsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as the Stavropol Territory. Those who received support included the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), and they were awarded additional points during the selection process.

The regions can use the subsidy at their discretion to create camp sites, develop national tourist routes and implement projects to improve urban centers. Funds can also be spent on the purchase of tourist equipment and equipment, as well as the creation of non-capital berthing facilities and festivals.
