On March 2, the Latvian city of Daugavpils celebrated Maslenitsa according to Russian traditions. Footage of the festive events is published by Izvestia.

During the celebration, bands in themed costumes performed on stage, singing folk songs in Russian. Guests could taste pancakes and drink tea from the samovar. There were also round dances on the square.

Russians celebrate Mother-in-law's evenings on Friday.

The day before at the multifunctional complex "Sun Moscow" also прошли festive Carnival events. The guests were able to see the performance of the Vozrozhdenie Folklore Theater, chat with chef Konstantin Ivlev and take part in an autograph session.
