On March 2, three-time Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, State Duma deputy Artur Taymazov, in an interview with Izvestia, spoke about Buvaysar Saytiev and called him an outstanding person.

"A legendary man, an outstanding man, has passed away. "...The greatest wrestler and the greatest man," Taymazov said.

According to him, such people are born once in a thousand years. He clarified that he had fought with Saytiyev on the same carpet. In addition, they worked together in the legislature, Taymazov added. Saitiev was a member of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports.
