Avangard Omsk beat Spartak Moscow 5-1 in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) match. The meeting took place on Sunday, March 2, at Moscow.

Reed Boucher, Mikhail Gulyaev, Alexey Solovyov, Konstantin Okulov and Alex Grant scored goals for Omsk. Sergei Lukyantsev scored an abandoned goal for the red-whites.

This victory was the eighth in a row for the Omsk team. The club is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference table with 74 points. Muscovites are in fourth place in the Western Conference with 76 points.

February 27, CSKA Moscow at home beat Beijing Kunlun Red Star and became a participant in the KHL playoffs. Forwards Prokhor Poltapov (23rd minute), Vladislav Kamenev (45th minute), Kirill Dolzhenkov (51st minute), Denis Guryanov (52nd minute), Ivan Drozdov (57th minute) and defender Nikita Nesterov (59th minute) scored for the hosts.
