In Ufa, Igor Kononov, the world champion in motorcycle racing on ice, fell under the wheels of an opponent during the final stage of the Russian team championship. This was announced on March 2 by the Mega-Lada sports club from Tolyatti.

According to preliminary data, Kononov suffered a spinal fracture and pelvic problems after a serious fall.
