The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Badra Gunba on his election as President of Abkhazia. The corresponding greeting was posted on site The Kremlin.

"The victory in the elections, held in conditions of free expression of the will of the people, confirmed the support of the Abkhaz citizens of your line to ensure internal political stability and progressive socio-economic development of the country," the message of greetings reads.
