A boy bitten by a husky in Sochi will undergo surgical treatment with facial plastic surgery

A boy who was bitten by huskies in the Adler district of Sochi was taken to Moscow, to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital (RDKB) Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. This was announced on March 2 by the hospital's press service.

Dmitry Prometnoy, Head of the Intensive Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit, told about the condition of a nine-year-old patient. At the moment, the boy is on a ventilator.

"The child was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the RCB. The child was diagnosed with an extensive laceration of the face and thigh. "... The child is on a ventilator, his condition is assessed as stable and serious," the RDCB press service quoted Prometny as saying on Telegram.

They added that after the completion of diagnostic measures, the boy will undergo a multi-stage surgical treatment, which includes a combined facial plastic surgery. The hospital of the Ministry of Health added that plastic surgeons will be involved in the treatment.

An attack by two huskies on a nine-year-old child took place in Sochi on February 26. The dogs were unattended by the owner, they were driven away from the boy by passers-by. A schoolboy with multiple facial lacerations was taken to a hospital in Krasnodar. A criminal case has been opened.

To the victim performed an operation. The doctor sewed up one vessel with a diameter of about 0.1 mm for the boy, while he assessed the child's nose and remaining lip as almost non-viable. Later, the child's father reported that his son they want to transport to Moscow.

To the owner of the dogs charged under Part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health by negligence"). During the interrogation, he admitted his guilt, adding that he had not fed the animals for some time and this could have influenced their aggressive behavior.
