In the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) in the city of Yugorsk, a man and a teenager died from household gas poisoning. This was announced on March 2 by the press service of the city administration.
It is noted that the incident occurred last night. The preliminary cause of death of a 25-year-old man and a 13-year-old teenager was improper operation of the gas equipment or its malfunction.
At the moment, the circumstances of the incident are being clarified, and an inspection is underway.
Earlier, on February 16, in the city of Kulebaki in the Nizhny Novgorod region, five people, including three children, carbon monoxide poisoning. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers").
