ENT care in Moscow has become even better and more accessible, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. According to him, about 50,000 ENT operations were performed in the capital last year, which is 22% more than a year earlier.

"Otorhinolaryngology is one of the most sought—after areas of medical care, — the mayor wrote in his Telegram channel. — It is provided inpatient by 10 clinics of the city, the leading specialized institution is the L.I. Sverzhevsky Medical Center."

As the mayor noted, doctors manage to carry out the most complex interventions, including reconstructive ones, due to the rich experience and high level of clinic equipment. "Specialists are constantly implementing the latest methods of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients. Minimally invasive treatment methods have become one of them, which have made it possible to reduce the impact on the patient's body and significantly shorten the recovery period," the mayor emphasized.According to Sobyanin, otorhinolaryngologists develop their professional skills in practical courses, which are held at the Botkin Moscow Medical Center Simulation Center and the Interdisciplinary Training Center for Innovative Surgical Technologies named after L.A. GKB No. 67.

In February Sobyanin reported that the number of neurosurgical operations performed in Moscow hospitals has increased by almost a third in five years. In 2024 alone, doctors performed about 21,000 complex operations on patients with spinal cord and brain pathologies, as well as other diseases of the nervous system.
