Former Supreme Commander of the United Armed Forces (UAF) of NATO, James Stavridis, suggested that the alliance may soon cease to exist. He stated this on March 1 on the TV channel CNN.

"We can witness the "last days" of the alliance and the beginning of the work of the new "European Treaty Organization," he said.According to him, the president's insistent demands USA Donald Trump's call for European leaders to increase their defense budgets, coupled with his recent spat with the president Of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the Oval Office caused concern among the members of the alliance.

"This will drive a wedge deep into the heart of the alliance, and it will spill out beyond Ukraine's borders — on the question of whether the United States can be trusted as a partner," Stavridis added.

March 1, entrepreneur and Head of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE) USA Elon Musk agreed that the time has come for the United States leave NATO and the UN.
