The expert noted that employment contracts, income certificates, tax returns and bank statements can be used for this purpose. To receive them, you need to contact the state archives or the archives of the enterprises and organizations in which you worked. According to Vinogradov, many companies store data on former employees.

The professor added that if documents are lost for a valid reason, it is even possible to involve witnesses: former colleagues, supervisors and others who are aware of the employment.

"If documents are lost as a result of emergencies and are not preserved even in archives, witnesses can confirm the entire length of service. If for another reason, but through no fault of your own, the witnesses themselves must have work documents from the same employer and during the same period. But in this case, it will be possible to confirm only half of the length of service required for retirement," he clarified in an interview with the agency "Prime".

To give evidence on the establishment of work periods, you need to submit an application to the Social Fund of Russia and involve at least two employees of each company, he noted. If the witnesses cannot appear in person, it is allowed to provide notarized notes.

Vinogradov explained that after the foundation decides to confirm the length of service, all documents are transferred to the interdepartmental commission of the region in which the applicant worked. The Commission, in turn, forms an opinion and issues a certificate on the establishment of the counted periods or refuses to do so.

"Before retiring, it is advisable to read the statement from your personal account in the Social Fund in advance and check the information contained therein. This will allow us to prepare the necessary documents in a timely manner and ensure that the required payments are received without losing part of the funds," the expert emphasized.
