Russian servicemen told about the fighting near Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR
Soldiers of the Center group of forces told Izvestia about fierce fighting near Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name — Pokrovsk) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), where Ukrainian militants are gathering their forces.
Fighters of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation strike targets in the area of the city. Their defeat is confirmed by footage from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"Before Donetsk, cars fired near Lugansk. And comparing those battles with these, the military says that now everything is much more serious. The enemy is putting up fierce resistance," said Izvestia correspondent Stanislav Grigoriev.
In an interview with him, serviceman Dmitry Garaishin stressed that the situation in the Red Army area of the special military operation zone remains difficult due to the large number of enemy FPV drones. According to him, after the first salvo, several enemy drones arrive at once.
The military groups of troops "Center" also noted that after defeats in the settlements of Kurakhovo and Avdiivka, the Armed Forces Ukraine (AFU) has deployed the best units of unmanned aircraft and new forces to the area of Krasnoarmeysk. Russian units, in turn, have strengthened the protection of their positions by installing additional plates, grilles and barriers. Now each gun is accompanied by a cover group.
On February 28, the Ministry of Defense reported that the calculations of the attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Atlant battalion of the 35th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group of forces href="https://iz.ru/1846449/2025-02-28/rascety-udarnyh-bpla-unictozili-zivuu-silu-i-tehniku-vsu-v-zone-specoperacii " target="_blank">destroyed the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army area of the special operation. According to the ministry, the enemy was trying to organize a deep-echelon defense on the line of contact.
