On March 1, at the initiative of the Hungarian side, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto had a telephone conversation. The topic of discussion was Kiev's attempt to commit a terrorist attack on the infrastructure of the Turkish Stream. This was reported on on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Hungarian minister was interested in assessments related to attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on the infrastructure of the Turkish Stream," the report says.

It is noted that Lavrov provided Szijjarto with the necessary clarifications.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the night of February 28 committed an attempted attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on a station in the Krasnodar Territory providing gas supply via the Turkish Stream. It was noted that all drones were shot down. The station supplies gas normally.

The Russian minister asked his Turkish counterpart to use the country's capabilities to prevent attempts by the Ukrainian side to commit a terrorist attack against civilian infrastructure facilities.
