A protest rally in support of former Romanian presidential candidate Calin Georgescu is taking place in Bucharest. This was announced on March 1 by the Euronews.

"This is the first rally in support of Georgescu, organized after he was prosecuted for six alleged crimes," the article says.

According to the TV channel, the rally is also expected to be attended by Georgescu himself, who announced that he was going to nominate his candidacy in the May elections.

The video from the protest is published by users of the social network X (ex. Twitter). Local media reported that more than a thousand people gathered at the demonstration.
