The European Parliament called on Europe to strengthen its independence from the United States

Europe must strengthen its independence from USA. This was announced on March 1 by the chairman of the European Parliament's Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann.

"It's time for us to strengthen our independence from the United States. We have to show our teeth. We must conclude contracts with Ukraine, to outline ways of developing the economy and rethink Europe's own role in the world," she quotes Tagesschau.

She added that the investment bank of Europe could issue bonds so that she could invest in the extraction of rare earth metals and thus help Ukraine. However, for this, the European Union and Ukraine must sign a certain agreement.
