In Russia, a self-locking service for issuing loans has been launched on the Gosuslug website. This was announced on March 1 by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

"In the credit history of those who have submitted an application, a special mark appears with the date of the start of the self-lock. After that, banks and microfinance organizations must refuse to issue loans or microloans," the ministry's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the ban applies to all consumer loans and borrowings. You can also prohibit remote loan processing. However, the conclusion of the contract will only be possible if you are personally present at the office of the bank or microfinance organization.

At the same time, the self-ban does not apply to mortgages, educational loans and car loans, the report emphasized.

Earlier, on February 9, lawyer, head of the Law Enforcement Center at In Moscow and the Moscow region, Alexander Khaminsky told Izvestia about the details of the self-ban on issuing loans. He noted that when making installments, it is necessary to pay attention to which documents are signed. From a legal point of view, the installment service is a loan on some marketplaces, while on others it is not. In other words, it all depends on the specific conditions of the site, and self-locking on loans may not work everywhere.
