Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced the president's position on March 1 USA Donald Trump during a meeting with the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky the best moment in three years.

"President Donald Trump's position in favor of peace has become the most magnificent moment in the last three years," Szijjarto wrote on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

According to the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Zelensky's dispute with the American president showed who really wants peace and "stands on the basis of common sense," and who is determined to continue the conflict at any cost.

Szijjarto expressed hope for successful negotiations between Russia and the United States, noting that only an agreement between the two countries would help "bring peace" to Central Europe.

During the meeting between Trump and Zelensky in the Oval Office on February 28, a verbal altercation took place. The US president blamed the Ukrainian leader in a disrespectful attitude towards Washington. According to him, the head of the Kiev regime is "playing with the Third World War", the lives of millions of people and is not ready to resolve the conflict.

US Vice Prime Minister Jay D. Vance, who was present at the talks, also criticized Zelensky. After the skirmish, the Ukrainian leader left the White House ahead of schedule.
