A child drowned in a river in Barnaul

"Presumably, the children were tubing down a slide and went to the Barnaul River," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

Currently, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are on their way to the site.

Earlier, on February 7, in the urban-type settlement of Okhotsk, Khabarovsk Territory, two children aged five and seven fell through the ice of a reservoir to cool the power plant and drowned. At the moment, it has been established that the children were playing near the reservoir, but then decided to go out on the ice and fell through.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons"). It is under the control of the Prosecutor's Office.
