Muscovites and guests of the capital have made more than 740 million trips along the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Metro Line in the two years since its launch. It has become one of the most sought-after in the city. On working days, passengers make over 1.4 million trips via BKL, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his official Telegram channel.

The BLK was fully launched on March 1, 2023. It was possible to implement a major project in just 10 years, the mayor noted. Other metro lines were immediately unloaded, and passengers had dozens of new convenient routes.

The launch of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line gave an impetus to the development of the entire city, Sobyanin added. Housing and social infrastructure are being built near the stations, and business is developing more actively. In addition, 6 thousand new jobs were created in the subway alone.

About 100 modern domestic trains "Moscow 2020" run along the line, which serve three electric depots.
