Swedish athlete Duplantis sets new world record in pole vault

Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis set a new world record in the pole vault, breaking the bar at a height of 6.27 m at the All Star Perche by SCC tournament in Clermont-Ferrand (France). This became known on March 1.

The 25-year-old athlete set the 11th world record in his career. Duplantis is also a two-time Olympic champion. He won the World Championships twice and the European Championships three times.

Last August, Duplantis set a record, breaking the bar at an altitude of 6.26 m at the Diamond League stage in Silesia (Poland). The previous world record (6.25 m) was also set by Duplantis at the Paris Olympics.
