British Minister for International Development Anneliese Dodds has resigned in protest over British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's decision to increase defense spending by cutting aid to other countries. She wrote about this on February 28 on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"I am sad to announce that I had to resign from the post of Minister of International Development, Women's Affairs and Equality," she said.

She also published a letter addressed to Starmer, in which she recalled his promise to maintain support for the Gaza Strip, Ukraine and African countries.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in an interview with Fox News on February 27 that Europe should accept href="https://iz.ru/1846455/2025-02-28/starmer-zaiavil-o-vazhnosti-uchastiia-evropy-v-uregulirovanii-konflikta-na-ukraine " target="_blank">full-fledged participation in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, Starmer added that for an accurate settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, it is necessary to conclude a "solid deal."
