Wilfand predicted temperatures below normal in the south of Russia


"In the south, there is a steady influx of cold air masses and very cold weather. The temperature will start to rise gradually, but it will still be below normal," Vilfand said in an interview with By Interfax.
He specified that on March 1 and 2 in the Volgograd, Rostov, Astrakhan regions, as well as in Kalmykia, the temperature will be 7-10 degrees below normal, with minimum values in the range of -15...-20 degrees.
In the Krasnodar Territory, by March 3, the temperature will be 5-10 degrees below normal and the minimum values will reach -13 degrees. In the future, the temperature will rise, but it will still be several degrees below normal. The weather will be cold in In Crimea, temperatures are also expected to drop there, but despite the frosty nights, daytime temperatures are forecast to reach +5 degrees.
In the regions of the North Caucasus, from March 1 to March 3, the temperature will be 6-12 degrees below normal, with minimum temperatures reaching -16 degrees, however, in the central regions of the Stavropol Territory, Dagestan and Karachay-Cherkessia, the temperature will reach -19 degrees at night.
"These are the frosts. It would be cold even for January, 4-5 degrees below normal. And here there are deviations of 6-12 degrees," Vilfand summed up.
On February 28, Wilfand announced that in March in the Urals, Siberia and some regions of the Northwestern Federal District, excess precipitation. According to him, heavy precipitation is expected in the territory from the Ob River to the eastern border of the Siberian Federal District.
