It will be more difficult to remove the self-lock on loans and borrowings, which will become available to citizens from March 1, than to establish, follows from the response of the Ministry of Finance to a request from Izvestia. You will have to submit an application signed with an electronic signature, which is free of charge in the Gosklyuch application, the department clarified. A more complex procedure is quite logical: it is necessary to create protection against fraudsters if they try to hack the account and remove the self-lock.

"The restriction on the issuance of loans and credits will cease to apply two days after the information about the withdrawal of the self-lock is entered into the credit history. The withdrawal date will be reflected by qualified credit bureaus (KBKI) in a PDF file that will be sent to the personal account of Gosuslugi," the press service of the Ministry of Finance reported.

The law on self-prohibition of loans was signed a year ago to better protect citizens from the actions of fraudsters who not only steal funds from Russian accounts, but also arrange loans for them themselves or convince them to do so under the influence of social engineering. Starting from March 1 of this year, any citizen who has a verified account on the portal and a TIN can apply for a voluntary refusal in Gosuslugi.

The self-lock is valid indefinitely, but it can be removed at any time. Applications for withdrawal and withdrawal can be submitted an unlimited number of times.
