The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the exploits of Russian military personnel in their military

On March 1, the Russian Ministry of Defense told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of Private Andrei Filatov, who was tasked with mining a section of the area near the positions of Ukrainian militants.

After waiting until dark, Filatov, moving competently and stealthily, got close to the fortified area of the enemy, planted and camouflaged mines. After that, he began to retreat to the Russian positions, but was discovered by the enemy. The enemy launched a mortar attack, as a result of which Filatov received a shrapnel wound to his leg.

Having promptly given himself first aid, the private continued to move. Taking refuge in a wooded area, he discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Armed Forces Ukraine (APU) and shot him down with well-aimed shots from a standard weapon. Having successfully reached the positions of his unit, Filatov received qualified medical care. As a result of the skillful and selfless actions of Private Andrei Filatov, the next day an enemy infantry fighting vehicle was destroyed in an established minefield and casualties were inflicted on enemy manpower.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Private Sergei Gorashchenko, who, as part of an assault group, carried out the task of taking a strong point in an important tactical area. Gorashchenko, taking into account the terrain conditions, chose and equipped a firing position and identified the firing sectors. Then he managed to secretly get close to the fortified positions of the enemy and throw an explosive device into the trench, as a result of which the fortified dugout was destroyed along with the Ukrainian militants who were there.

Quickly returning to the equipped position, the private suppressed another enemy firing point with fire from his personal small arms. The enemy, having discovered his position, concentrated their fire on him, which allowed the rest of the group of Russian attack aircraft to bypass the stronghold and attack the enemy from the rear. The enemy retreated, leaving the wounded and the bodies of the dead in the stronghold.

Thanks to the personal courage, bravery and professionalism of Private Sergei Gorashchenko, the assault group successfully completed the task of capturing the stronghold without losses and gained a foothold on it.
