Shoigu and Xi Jinping confirmed their readiness for consultations on strategic security

During the talks in Beijing, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu and Chinese President Xi Jinping confirmed the readiness of the states for future rounds of consultations on strategic security jointly with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the press service of the Russian Security Council reported on February 28.

"Sergei Shoigu and Xi Jinping discussed cooperation within the framework of existing cooperation formats under the auspices of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. We confirmed our readiness to organize regular rounds of consultations on strategic security with a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi," the press service said.
