Izvestia newspaper became the leader in citation in the first month of 2025

In the first month of the year, Izvestia topped the TOP 10 most quoted federal print media. The citation index of the publication in January was 2,302.13. Kommersant newspaper is on the second line of the rating (CI: 1,531.31), and Rossiyskaya Gazeta took the third place (CI: 989.91).

“The leader of the rating in January among newspapers is Izvestia,” the message. The most quoted materials of the publication were reports of the death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Martemyanov when an APU drone struck a car on the Donetsk–Gorlovka highway. Izvestia also reported that the Ministry of Labor proposed to raise maternity allowances for female students.

When calculating the rating, Russian federal media were taken into account, as well as online resources that cover federal and regional events.
