- The WSJ has learned about Trump's plans to approve English as the official language of the United States

The President USA Donald Trump will sign a decree that will approve English as the official state language. This was reported on February 28 by the newspaper The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
"In its almost 250-year history, the United States has never had a national language at the federal level," the article says.
Trump's decision is expected to repeal a decree issued by former President Bill Clinton on the obligation of agencies and other recipients of federal funding to provide language assistance to non-English speakers.
According to the executive order's summary, the purpose of making English a national language is to promote unity, ensure effectiveness in government, and provide a path to civic engagement.
On January 29, Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the House of Representatives (lower house of Congress), announced the introduction of a bill that would add portrait of Trump on the mountain Rushmore. According to her, the outstanding achievements of the US president for the benefit of the country should be perpetuated and deserve recognition.
