The high potential of bilateral cooperation and willingness to expand joint projects were noted.

Chairman of the Russian part of the Intergovernmental Commission, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsivilev stressed the importance of Iraq's participation in major international economic forums, which are an important platform for establishing business contacts. In this regard, he invited the Iraqi side to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held from June 18 to 21, 2025.

"SPIEF is one of the world's leading venues where key economic trends are formed and prospects for international cooperation are discussed. Iraq's participation in the forum will strengthen the dialogue between our countries, establish new partnerships and identify areas for further cooperation," said Sergey Tsivilev.
