The Chelyabinsk court has detained the head of the grain procurement service of Makfa

Ivan Tofan, the head of the grain purchase service at Makfa, was sent to jail for two months in a case of attempted bribery on an especially large scale. This was reported on February 28 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The case was considered by the Traktorozavodsky District Court of Chelyabinsk. Tofan will remain in custody until April 27.

Lawyer Dmitry Krivosheev called the arrest too strict a measure of restraint. It is known that Tofan is married and has a minor child, and lives in Kopeisk.

The man is accused of attempted bribery in the amount of 16 million rubles together with the top manager of Makfa Vladlen Parshin. The money was planned to be received for the unhindered signing of specifications for the contract for the supply of wheat.

Earlier on February 28, three officials of the Makfa company was detained in Chelyabinsk in the case of an attempt to receive a particularly large bribe. According to investigators, from September 1, 2024 to February 27 of this year, company officials intended to receive a bribe in the amount of at least 16 million rubles.
