In Kolomna, a suspect in the theft of a scooter injured two policemen

In Kolomna, Moscow region, a man suspected of stealing a scooter injured two police officers. He was arrested and taken to the police station. This was announced on February 28 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region.

The department's statement clarifies that on February 27, the Kolomna police department received a statement about the theft of a scooter, in connection with which the criminal investigation department began conducting operational search activities.

Near one of the houses, the police found a man who looked like the suspect. The man rudely refused the request to show his documents. After that, he struck one of the policemen with a metal rod in the chest area and stabbed the second law enforcement officer with a knife.

The doctors provided the necessary assistance to the police officers, and their lives are not in danger. The materials collected on the use of violence will be delivered to the investigative authorities, the statement said.
