He stressed that it is necessary to carefully consider all messages, not only from strangers, but also from familiar senders.
"Attackers can disguise themselves as standard mailing lists. For example, we are used to receiving weekly selections or information from some marketplace or online store. The risks are very high here, because we get used to receiving such messages. When there is a "stuffing" of information we are interested in in such mailings, for example, a drawing of an apartment, a free prize, then a large number of users may really be interested in this," the specialist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Ulyanov noted that attackers copy all these mailings very accurately, so it can be difficult to distinguish between a real letter and a potentially dangerous one.
"First of all, you need to look at the letter carefully: even minimal differences may indicate that scammers are working here. Secondly, and most importantly, you need to look carefully at the links and not click on them," he warned.
Earlier, on February 18, it was reported that fraudsters stole 27 billion rubles from Russians in 2024. This follows from the data of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The volume of transactions without the voluntary consent of customers increased by 74.36% compared to 2023.
