A saboteur who planned arson was sentenced to 12.5 years in the Smolensk region.


A native of the Smolensk region, who tried to set fire to life support facilities, was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. This was announced on February 28 by the regional directorate of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.
"In order to undermine the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation, a man in a messenger received a task to destroy the power grid complex of the Smolensk-2 substation," the ministry said in a statement.
