Alexey Rakhimbayev, Chief Designer of the Yakovlev Experimental Design Bureau (OKB), died at the age of 73. This was announced on February 28 by the press service of PJSC Yakovlev.

Rakhimbayev graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in 1975. In 1974, he joined the Yakovlev Design Bureau, where he became chief designer seven years later. In the bureau, Rakhimbayev was engaged in the development of passenger aircraft.
