The family of American actress Michelle Trachtenberg refused to perform an autopsy and determine the causes of death of the star for religious reasons. This was reported on February 27 in Deadline.
If a death was suspected to be of a criminal nature, forensic medical experts would conduct an autopsy without the permission of relatives. But since there are no such reasons, the court did not overturn the family's decision.
The actress recently underwent a liver transplant. Presumably, the actress' body could reject the transplanted organ.
On February 26, Michelle Trachtenberg, who played in the TV series "Gossip Girl" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," died at the age of 40. According to the New York Post, the actress' mother found her dead in an apartment in an elite residential complex in Manhattan.
